About the Artist
Jacqué is a California-based painter and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the emotional landscapes beneath the surface of lived experience. Through painting, sculpture, and narrative, she is building the evolving world of Curious Topographies, where symbolic forms and shifting terrain reveal the strange negotiations of being human.

Offbeat Birdfolk
A little world of awkward yet elegant birds is taking shape. After years of her quirky birds stealing all the limelight, these vibrant and expressive oddlings are taking a new form. Their postures began as an exploration of the artists own internal contradictions– the kinds we often hold all at once. Insecure yet invigorated, fearful yet flamboyant, each bird carries these tensions with honesty and charm, revealing the beautifully human way we move through the world: imperfect, colorful, curious and full of life. Soon, they will be revealing their next evolution, but for now, you can find them here...

Teaching
Jacqué offers in-person, online, and recorded classes that are designed to build confidence in color, composition, and creative expression. Her main method is to build-up competence in the essentials while students discover their own personal style– in a playful, educational, and expansive environment.
