About
In this class, we'll progressively deepen our understanding of color theory and mixing techniques, exploring the rich historical context and modern applications of color in painting through engaging weekly sessions. Each session is two hours that will include an hour of lecture and an hour of demo painting. We will apply a variety of complex, specific, and subtle color combinations in the assigned weekly painting exercises in our own time between sessions. Any paint type may be used in this class. JacquƩ will be painting in acylic and oil. All materials listed below are non-toxic and have links to shop the products. You may already have some materials, so please use what you have. The most important thing is that you have enough titanium white (likely double or tripple the amount of your other colors), and one of each primary color (blue, red, yellow). Brush sizes are less important, as long as you have a small, medium, and large brush available. Synthetic brushes are best for heavy bodied paint and smooth application.
